How do I book my child a place?

-
Before a child starts, parents are asked to complete and sign a confidential registration form. Available sessions and places should be discussed in advance with a pre-school leader.
-
Parents/guardians are able to make an appointment to look around and meet the staff during a session. (Please contact the pre-school to arrange a visit.)

How do I pay for the sessions?

-
Invoices are issued in advance every half term and are payable by cheque on or before due date. There is a 2% charge for late payments. Please note that our late/non collection policy states that the person collecting needs to notify the pre-school if they are going to be late as charges can be incurred.
-
Until your child is eligible for Government Funding, payment of fees is your responsibility. Funding starts the term after their 3rd birthday. You will then be asked to complete a form that enables the funding to be paid directly to the pre-school.
Morning Session £7.00
Lunch Club £1.50
Afternoon Session £7.00
All Day £15.50

How can I get involved in the pre-school?

-
As a member of the Pre-school Learning Alliance, we recognise parents as the first and most important educators of their children. There are many ways in which parents take part in making the pre-school a welcoming and stimulating place for children and parents, such as:
· You can become a committee member and help manage the pre-school.
· Help with fundraising.
· Volunteer as a parent helper.

How can I help my child settle in?

-

In the waiting area help your child to find their name card on the apple notice board. This will attach to their snack pocket. Other information is also displayed in this area.
-
Please hang your childs change of clothes and any outer wear on their named peg in the cloakroom.
-
You are welcome to stay until you feel comfortable that your child is happy/settled and until you are ready to leave.

What will my child be doing?

-
Learning through play forms a vital part of a childs development. Therefore, we would like to assure parents that although their children may not take home a craft, painting etc. at the end of each session, they would have been involved in a number of learning experiences.
-
The experiences are based on the six areas of learning:

· Personal, social and emotional development
· Language and literacy
· Knowledge and understanding of the world
· Mathematical development
· Creative development
· Physical development.

-
We have an adult led activity during every session and all activities are planned carefully to assist your child in achieving their early learning goals. As well as this, free play is included in the daily routine.
